Welcome to the World Vintage Jewellery Museum

By using this website and contributing content, you agree to these Terms of Service. The World Vintage Jewellery Museum is a community-driven archive dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of vintage and antique jewellery. These terms govern how content contributed by our community members may be used by the museum and the public.

Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all photographs and content you upload to the museum. Contributing to the archive does not transfer your copyright to us. You are simply granting the museum a licence to use your content in the ways described below, depending on the licence you choose when uploading.

By uploading content, you confirm that:

• You own the photographs or have the right to share them
• The content does not infringe on any third-party rights
• You have the right to grant the museum a licence to use the content

When you select the Full Museum License, you grant the World Vintage Jewellery Museum a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use your content for:

• Educational purposes — presentations, lectures, and research
• Promotional materials — social media, blog posts, newsletters, and marketing
• Commercial purposes — merchandise, collaborations, exhibitions, and publications
• Archival and preservation purposes

No attribution is required, though we will always strive to credit contributors where possible. This licence is the most helpful to the museum and allows us to sustain the archive, fund new collaborations, and bring vintage jewellery to a wider audience.

When you select the Display Only License, you grant the World Vintage Jewellery Museum permission to display your content in the public archive only. This means:

• Your piece will be visible to all museum visitors in the public collection
• The content may not be used for commercial purposes
• The content may not be used in promotional or marketing materials
• The content may not be reproduced or distributed outside the archive

User Responsibilities

By creating an account and uploading content, you agree to:

• Only upload content you own or have the right to share
• Provide accurate information about the pieces you contribute
• Treat other community members with respect in comments and interactions
• Not upload content that is offensive, harmful, or violates any laws
• Not use the museum for spam, commercial solicitation, or misleading content

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the museum after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
